Civic Ensemble and Notch Theatre Company are producing a staged reading of Cafe Utopia, a dystopian comedy about work conditions, labor, and what it takes  to stand up for one’s rights in the workplace. This play was originally produced in NYC by Notch Theatre Company, and was created based on interviews with workers and labor organizers across the country. This staged reading will include stories based on local labor organizing.
